Asian Garden Renovation
The Asian Garden was renovated last summer. The renovation includes a new water feature, bamboo sculptures, and new sod. The renovation was completed by members and a new volunteer, Nathan Snell. Nathan designed a bamboo sculpture, using live bamboo and created a circular design. The renovation provides a peaceful, tranquil setting for Weddings and special occasions. The Gardens experimented with the new species of sod called Empire Zoysia grass. The experiment showed that Zoysia grass did not grow well in shade and became very thin and sparse in shaded areas, so it was replaced.
